India’s Meat And Poultry Markets Need A Rewamp

The open meat and fowl markets in India must be regulated. They are seriously unhygienic and usually with no refrigeration of meat for several hours after slaughter.

Also there is widespread cruelty to the animals. Animals must be slaughtered humanely.

The government must help these markets with loans to buy refrigeration equipment and the FSSAI regulations must be applied to ensure hygiene
