Summary Feedback:

Baggry’s Chocolate Flavoured Protein Muesli is advertised as India’s first protein breakfast. It has a protein content of 20.3 gm per 100 gm serving, which is high for a breakfast cereal. In fact, it is comparable to the protein content in a protein bar. It also has a relatively high fibre content of 6.6 gm per 100 gm serving.

However, the product has a high sugar (sucrose) content of 11.3 gm per 100 gm serving. The high sugar content makes this product unsuitable for people who are obese or those with lifestyle disease, despite the high protein content.

Also people like to add more sugar to their breakfast cereal and, by doing so, they make it more sugary and unsafe for themselves.

The foodnetindia rating for this product :-

foodnetindia safety rating: 5 – (On a scale of 1 to 10 from very unsafe to very safe)

In India the concept of consuming cereals like muesli for breakfast is gaining popularity due to aggressive marketing, and the perception among the masses that it is healthy and safe.

We at foodnetindia feel that, while this product does have the benefit of a high protein content, it is also high on sugar which is not an ideal way to kickstart the day. This is not helped by the fact that people tend to add more sugar to their breakfast cereals.

We have, however, given it a slightly higher rating than other similar products because of the high protein content.

foodnetindia wholesomeness rating: 5 – (On a scale of 1 to 10 from very unbalanced nutrition profile to excellent nutrition profile)

We would have considered the product wholesome and nutritious with its whole grains and high protein content. However, we don’t like the fact that it has a high sugar content of 11.3 gm per 100 gm, which is not recommended for obese people and those with lifestyle diseases.

We have, however, given it a slightly higher rating than other similar products because of the high protein content.
