Unsafe and poor personal hygiene has been a problem all over India. A lot of infectious diseases in India can be linked to people not washing their hands before touching food or their faces.

Not washing your hands can lead to diseases caused by fecal contamination of soil. This includes cholera, typhoid, gastroenteritis, amoebiasis, meningitis, Hepatitis A, and more.

Not washing your hands before eating can also lead to diseases like Hepatitis B or Hepatitis C, caused by touching other people’s saliva on surfaces.

Lastly, as the Coronavirus crisis has made us all painfully aware, not washing your hands can cause respiratory infections and more from viral flu, viral colds, etc.

Always wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before touching your face or touching food or touching anything that is going to carry or move food.
