Fodder certification for safety is vital for the safety of the milk we consume.
At this link from CNBC TV18, is a revelation on the presence of Aflatoxin in Indian milk samples – https://www.cnbctv18.com/healthcare/fssai-looks-to-regulate-livestock-farming-industry-after-tests-reveal-cancer-causing-chemical-in-milk-samples-4618991.htm
About 5% of the samples (one in twenty samples) had Aflatoxin, which can cause liver cancer in humans who consume the milk.
I wonder how the FSSAI is going to do this job. The FSSAI has neither the manpower nor the technology and funds to ensure safe food for humans in India. How on earth are they going to do it for animals?
