It appears that the Government has finally accepted that caloric sufficiency does not make a meal nutritious. An inter-ministerial committee has recommended a significant increase in the protein and micronutrient content of midday meals.

Someone needs to educate this semi-literate politician on the nutritional value of eggs, and the severe malnutrition problems amongst Indian children. He also probably does not know that over 75 percent of Indians are non vegetarians.
