Summary feedback
Tropicana Mixed Fruit Delight from has added flavouring substances which, in our opinion,  is to mask the effects of processing and to give it a flavour profile close to mixed fruit juice.
It is a sugary beverage as a serving of 100 ml contains 14 gm of sugar, which is harmful for diabetics as well as the obese; and not recommended even for the healthy in very small quantities if at all.
The foodnetindia rating for this product :-
foodnetindia safety rating: 2 – (On a scale of 1 to 10 from very unsafe to very safe)
The product is reconstituted mixed fruit juice, as the ingredient list on it says it contains 12.2% concentrated mixed fruit juice. It contains a high 14 gm sugar per 100 ml, which is even higher than the sugar in Coca Cola or Pepsi, which are already heavily criticized for their high sugar content and their role in the widespread obesity and lifestyle disease epidemic. .
foodnetindia wholesomeness rating: 2 – (On a scale of 1 to 10 from very unbalanced nutrition profile to excellent nutrition profile)
This product contains vitamins and minerals which are essential for the body, but it cannot be consumed in large quantities on a daily basis as the high sugar content can cause diabetes and obesity leading to more chronic health conditions.
Ingredients of Concern in Tropicana Mixed Fruit Delight:

Sugar
This food product contains 14 gm sugar and does not specify which sugar has been used. This is important because different sugars have different metabolic effects. For example, Sucrose (Cane Sugar) is very different from Fructose (Fruit Sugar). Some foods use high fructose corn syrup which may be harmful in much lower quantities than sucrose.  We believe that it is not responsible behaviour for a brand to not clearly state what ingredients have been used.
Added Flavour: Nature Identical Flavouring Substances
This food product does not specify which flavours or flavouring substances have been used. The flavours should be specified as some of them have serious side effects and may not be suitable for infants, pregnant women or people who are allergic. We believe that it is not responsible behaviour for a brand to avoid clearly stating what ingredients have been used.
By not specifying what these flavours and substances are, we are forced to consider what they are hiding and why would they be so reluctant to mention what they have used in the food product!
Stabilizer IN 440
Pectin acts as a thickening agent; thus, it may cause intestinal problems when present in high concentrations. As a result of its thickening effect, it is also used in diet preparations, where it reduces the feeling of hunger. It can be fermented in the large intestine, resulting in flatulence.
Ingredients in this product which, in our opinion are not a concern:

  • Water
  • Concentrated mixed Fruit Juice 12.2% (From Banana, Apricot, Pineapple, Mango, Orange, Apple, Lime and strawberry),
  • Acidity Regulator: IN 330
