Summary feedback
Sugar Free is a well-known Indian brand of artificial sweetener by Zydus Healthcare. Sugar Free Natura contains  sucralose. Many people use it as a supposedly healthier alternative to sugar. Sucralose is 600 times sweeter than sugar and is widely used in baked foods and pastries, apart from frozen yogurts and chewing gum.
Sucralose is a non-nutritive sweetener. The majority of ingested sucralose is not broken down by the body, so it is noncaloric. In the European Union, it is also known under the E number E955. Sucralose is about 600 times as sweet as sucrose twice as sweet as saccharin, and three times as sweet as aspartame. It is stable under heat and over a broad range of pH conditions. Therefore, it can be used in baking or in products that require a longer shelf life. The commercial success of sucralose-based products stems from its favorable comparison to other low-calorie sweeteners in terms of taste, stability, and safety.
The foodnetindia rating for this product :-Foodnetindia safety rating : 2 -(On a scale of 1 to 10 from very unsafe to very safe)
Sugar free Natura contains Sucralose, which is an organochlorine compound. These are organic compounds that have been chlorinated. Dioxin, one organochlorine compound that is a by-product of the paper bleaching process, is 300,000 times more carcinogenic than DDT, an insecticide that was banned because of its toxicity. These compounds have been linked to birth defects, cancer, and immune dysfunction.
These chemicals stay in the body and accumulate over time. According to the Sucralose Toxicity Information Center, the absorbed sucralose and its metabolites (chemically altered substances) concentrate in the liver, kidney, and gastrointestinal tract. The FDA says there is only 11 percent to 27 percent absorption, but the Japanese Food Sanitation Council says as much as 40 percent is absorbed by the body.
