Foodix Crispy Fry Mix Crunchy is a dry mix used to coat chicken before frying them in oil. It contains refined wheat flour-maida, starch, gram flour, edible common salt, spices and condiments, flavour enhancements In 627, 631, raising agent In 551(ii).
The product contains a high amount of salt at 5 gm (2.19 sodium) per 100 gm mix of the pack. This is over and above the entire day’s permissible limit of salt consumption as per WHO standards, which is between 1 to 3 gm salt per day.
The use method is to dip the chicken in this mix and fry it in edible oil and then after it is deep fried it is consumed along with salty dips and sauces which makes the whole snack an HFSS food.
