One of the largest selling caffeinated beverages in the world. Contains 33 gm sugar per 300 ml of the beverage and 132 KCal. This beverage is not recommended for diabetics and heart patients and fitness enthusiasts, but the healthy may have it occasionally in small quantities. Not recommended for people to drink in large quantities because of high sugar content i.e., 33 gm of sugar in 300 ml of Coca Cola. Empty calories from sugar is quite high at 132 Kcal per 300 ml of Coca Cola.

There is no nutritional value in this beverage but has excessive sugar, artificial colouring and preservatives in it which could all be detrimental to health.

A single serving of 300 ml of Cocoa Cola contains 33 gms of sugar which is higher than the WHO recommended daily allowance of 25 gms per day. This beverage should be avoided by healthy people and definitely by diabetics and heart patients.
Preservative IN 211
Sodium benzoate IN 211 is a preservative and food additive. It is bacteriostatic and fungi static under acidic conditions. It is most widely used in acidic foods such as salad dressings (vinegar), carbonated drinks (carbonic acid), jams and fruit juices (citric acid), pickles (vinegar), and condiments.
Artificial colour Caramel Colour 150d
According to the coca cola website for India , colour 150d is used to give the beverage its brown colour. Caramel colour produced with ammonia may be associated with blood toxicity and in a reduction of white cells and lymphocyte count. A clarification is needed from the brand if an ammonia based process has been used and whether these reported health issues are relevant to it.
Acidity Regulator (338) -Phosphoric acid
Phosphoric acid is a colourless and odourless mineral acid made from phosphate rock. It may lead to calcium loss in bones and tooth erosion. It may increases the chance of getting osteoporosis and had been linked in some cases to kidney damage and kidney stones.
