The salt content was on the higher side at 186 mg per serving of 28 gm and the product is cooked in corn oil. Snacks like these tend to be consumed in high quantities and so the quantity of salt and possibly oxidised PUFA from heated corn oil will be high as well.

Even though the product contains a small quantity of wholesome milk solids and milk powder, we are unable to call this food wholesome due to its salt, starch and heated vegetable oil content; and low micronutrient diversity. We recommend that it be eaten in very small quantities as a part of an otherwise wholesome and nutritious diet; and that too only by healthy people.
The vegetable oil used contains Omega 6 rich oil which could also cause dietary balance problems in people with very low Omega-3 in their diets.

In addition, consumers need clear information about the type of vegetable oil used, so that they can take action to maintain a healthy balance between Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acid consumption.
The product contains 186 mg per 28 gm of the product. High sodium diets have been known to be the cause of high blood pressure, heart disease, etc. The recommended daily intake of salt is between 1-3 grams.
This food product does not specify which sugar has been used. This is important because different sugars have different metabolic effects. For example, Sucrose (Cane Sugar) is very different from Fructose (Fruit Sugar). Some foods use high fructose corn syrup which may be harmful in much lower quantities than sucrose. We believe that it is not responsible behaviour for a brand to not clearly state what ingredients have been used.

By not specifying what these flavours and substances are, we are forced to consider what they are hiding and why would they be so reluctant to mention what they have used in the food product!
