Snacks like these contain high salt content which is bad for the health of kids and adults who consume it without exercising moderation, it also contains 12 gm sugar per 100 gm serving which is high considering it is a namkeen. This snack is deep-fried in vegetable oil. Most vegetable oils are rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA). Polyunsaturated fatty acids get oxidised when used for high heat cooking, like deep frying. Oxidised polyunsaturated fatty acids are toxic and have been linked to lifestyle diseases including cancer.
