Up to 0.8 mg/kg body weight.
Side effects:
None known ; citric acid is a normal component of all body cells, and iron forms an essential part of blood cells.
Dietary restrictions:
Citric acid and citrates can be used by all religious groups, vegans and vegetarians. The iron used is not of animal origin.
