Food Safety Officers Suspend Licenses Of 2 Bakeries

Food safety officers have suspended food licences of two bakeries in Kohima because of non-compliance to food safety rules.

Chief medical officer (CMO) and designated officer Kohima, Dr.Ritu Thurr, said that an improvement notice was sent to M/S Best Bakery and M/S Mums Bakery located at Merhülietsa Colony, Kohima under Section 32 of the Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006.

But the CMO added that again during re-inspection by food safety officers, the bakeries still did not comply with food safety laws. So, the food licences of these two bakeries were suspended.
