Mothers to Supervise Mid Day Meals in Goa

The Goa government will rope in mothers of students to supervise the quality and taste of the food served to their children under the Mid-Day Meal scheme.

This step has been taken in lieu of the recent incidents of food poisoning through the mid-day meal scheme which was leading to a drop out of students at primary school level.

The cooks-cum-helpers would be given training by Institute of Hotel Management and the school Headmaster/ Headmistress will also be given one day training regarding sensitization of Mid-Day Meal by the State Government.
