Coca-Cola’s new CEO James Quincy has his work cut out for him; a daunting task of reviving the 130-year-old company, and dramatically cutting back on the calories in Coca Cola’s products in a world where anti-obesity drives and low sugar content are the norms of the day. Mere reliance on artificial sweeteners is not enough as many customers have turned away from aspartame and other additives.
Feeding massive populations like that of India and China is a huge task and securing enough food for its people may be hard for them in the future because of the reduction of the country’s agricultural work force as millions of Indian and Chinese farmers are going to the cities for better employment opportunities and higher incomes, urbanisation of its population is leading people to change their diet preferences.
